ASSESS: Senate Bill 1258 would limit the practice of local officials making “spot appeals” on assessments of property being sold. The Senate approved the measure 37-13 and sent it the House. A yes vote supported the bill.
Voting yes: Sens. Lisa Boscola, D-18; Pat Browne, R-16; John Gordner, R-27; Roger Madigan, R-23; Robert Mellow, D-22; Raphael Musto, D-14; and James Rhoades, R-29.
Voting no: Sen. Lisa Baker, R-20.
COVERAGE: Senate Bill 1453 would alow parents to keep their health insurance coverage for dependent children up to age 30 if the latter are unmarried, have no dependents of their own, are state residents or enrolled as full-time students in Pennsylvania and have no other coverage. The Senate approved the measure 50-0 and sent it the House. A yes vote supported the bill.

The House passed the measure 198-1 and sent it to the Senate. A yes vote supported the bill.
