The other Athens victory included Shane Raupers defeating R.J. Forbes 13-7 at the 171 weight class.

For Towanda, Darin Rockwell pinned Justin Schlosser in 2:52 at the 189 weight class and Cody Wheeler pinned Jerry Leiby in one minute at the 103 weight class.

"We split 7 and 7 but Athens got more out of their victories than we did," Towanda Coach Bill Sexton stated, adding: "We gave up too many bonus points.

"It was a good match, probably a good match for the fans," Sexton said, "but we just came up a little too short."

Towanda will be at the Williamson Duals on Saturday.
