Athens, Mansfield boys pick up wins

ATHENS — The Athens boys held Northeast Bradford to three points in the second quarter as they picked up a 51-38 win to advance to the final of the NTL Showcase.

Athens will take on Mansfield in the final at 8 p.m. Friday at Mansfield University.

Austin Lister had 18 points, 12 boards and two steals for Athens and Ethan Lane had 11 points, five boards and two assists.

Ryan Segar had 10 points and Joe Moyer had six points, 10 boards and seven blocks.

Kalen Keathley had four points, six boards, two steals and two assists, Gavin Stein had two points and Daniel Joyce had 15 boards, five assists and five blocked shots.

David Ford led the Panthers with 10 points and Zak Smith had eight points.

Tommy Rought had six points and Austin Senn-Bishop had five points, while Garret Smith had four points.

Nik Geiser had three points for the Panthers and Michael Wallitsch had two points.

Mansfield 68, CV 51

The Tigers got 31 points from Brock Burleigh to reach the NTL Showcase final.

Burleigh had a double-double, adding 10 boards, four assists and two blocks.

Shane Kelly had 11 points, 15 boards, seven assists and four blocks and Konnor Manikowski had 13 points, four assists and three deflections.

Nick Kasper had six points, Derrick Herbst had three points, four assists and three boards and Joel Whitteker had two points.

The Indians got 24 points from Bryant Painter and Colton Vinluan had 12 points, while Tyler Melko added 11 points and Ben Brubaker had four points.

Melko had a double-double adding 13 boards and Vinluan had six boards and three steals.
