Show me the taxes

Donald Trump promised to release his taxes if he got the nomination. He got it, but didn’t release them. He then promised to release them if elected. He hasn’t, yet. Before he’s sworn in, could we please see the taxes? I’d like to know who owns my president before those owners start dictating policy.

How low can you go?

Why is the “absolute worst president” in the history of America trying so hard to make things even worse before he leaves office on the 20th? Rhetorical question, intelligent people know he’s setting the bar so low nobody will ever be worse than him. He’ll own that title forever.

Still waiting

It’s been well over a month since Donald Trump was elected and he still hasn’t held a press conference. No president elect has ever waited so long. Is it because he’d have to explain why he abandoned his campaign promises? I think it’s that he knows he will face questions he couldn’t possibly answer. He skated through the debates by avoiding answering questions while berating his opponents. I doubt the press will be so easy on him.

Gas truck gripes

Imagine if the DOT or state police saw one of these gas drilling oversized loads come through Wysox or Towanda. They totally disregard other motorists, hit road signs, hit guard rails and keep going. And yet our local drivers are constantly being pulled over by DOT checks. Where are these officers when the gas companies disregard our rules and totally destroy our area?

Recognizing the real winners

Enough is enough. It’s time to get over it. We have to face facts and come together as a nation. Yes, Mrs. Clinton did win the popular vote by three million. But we really need to give a great, all-American shoutout to the two real winners of November’s election — Goldman Sachs and Vladimir Putin.

It is sad that a pony was killed by a hit-and-run driver, but it is also sad that this pony was on the road instead of in its pasture or barn where its owners should have kept it. Ponies and horses usually don’t stray far from home unless they are lonely or hungry. Sad story.

A little reminder

To the people speeding on Canton Avenue in Monroeton, the speed limit is 25 miles per hour, not higher. Please obey the speed limit.

Meeting notice

Franklin Township residents. The township reorganization meeting is this Friday, Jan. 6 at 7 p.m., just in case you missed it in The Daily Review legal notice section.

RE: Not a fan of Trump

Really, I would be so ashamed to put this in a paper. You cannot be a Christian. You have no respect. Move on. Get a life. Give this man a chance. Who are you to write something like this in this paper. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Putting people to work

The chicken egg factory farm is a great idea. Why comment that there are not enough illegals to work there. At least they would work. How about all of the welfare recipients. There are plenty of them in Bradford County. Maybe they could go to work.

Another way to honor

On behalf of my fellow veterans, I would just like to say that $167,000 spent on two statues is so ridiculous when it could have helped our disabled and homeless veterans in this area. Shame, shame.
