ATHENS — The Athens Area School District has introduced a mobile app for students, staff and community members to utilize.

District Information Technology Director, Clint Nichols, presented the newly constructed app during a school board meeting held on Wednesday.

The app is available for both Android and IOS devices.

It can be found by searching “Athens Area School District” in the Play Store or App Store on the respective device.

It offers all of the district’s information on one central area.

Nichols stated that the app offers instant access to the district’s information as well as push-notifications for upcoming events and schedule changes within the district.

Athens High School Principal Corey Mosher stated that updates on daily information is provided in both the morning and evening on the app.

Each of the district’s four schools have a designated page on the app, which will feature school-specific information. A general district page is also available.
