Man involved in accidental skidsteer death identified


A male died Friday when he became pinned underneath a skidsteer at 1152 Patton Hill Road in Towanda Township.

Pennsylvania State Police, in an information release report issued on Saturday, identified the male to be 80-year-old Donald Spencer.

According to the report, Spencer was located by the family at the family residence. He had been removing snow and pulled the skidsteer inside a garage for maintenance when the machine engaged and struck Spencer, killing him.

Towanda Fire Department, North Towanda Fire Department, Guthrie Memorial EMS and the Bradford County Coroner’s office assisted on scene, police documents show.
