Burglary reported in Wysox

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a burglary that occurred between March 3 and March 6 at a residence on Center Road in Wysox.

Police state that the victim related that her medications were stolen from her residence. The unknown actor or actors then fled the scene undetected.

Criminal mischief reported in Warren Township

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a criminal mischief that occurred between March 4 and March 6 in Warren Township.

According to police, a loose cable wire on a utility pole, approximately half a mile northeast of Cadis Road, was cut by an unknown actor or actors. The actor or actors then fled the scene undetected.

Two vehicle accident occurred in Granville Twp.

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a two vehicle accident that occurred at 7:14 p.m. on March 10 on Granville Road in Granville Township.

Police state that Jonathan R. Bolt, 35, of Granville Summit and Collin L. Carter, 25, of Denver, Colo., were traveling west when two deer entered the roadway. Bolt applied his brakes firmly in an attempt to avoid striking the deer but was unsuccessful in doing so. Bolt struck one of the two deer. Carter swerved into the eastbound lane in an attempt to avoid striking Bolt but was unsuccessful. Carter struck Bolt in the 6 o’clock position. Neither operators were injured during the accident. Bolt’s vehicle was able to be driven from the scene but Carter’s vehicle had to be towed. Carter is being charged with failure to operate a vehicle at a safe speed.

Car overturns in Canton Twp.

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a one vehicle accident that occurred at 9 p.m. on March 10 on state Route 14 in Canton Township.

According to police, Zachary C. Manley, 22, of Williamsport was traveling north. As he completed negotiating a left curve in the roadway, he lost control and allowed his vehicle to cross the double yellow divider line and exited the roadway along the southbound lane. As he exited the roadway, he impacted an embankment, causing his vehicle to overturn onto its passenger side. Neither Manley nor his passenger were injured as a result of the accident. Manley is being charged with failure to operate vehicle at a safe speed.

Towanda man charged with DUI

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda charge Howard Bailey, 81, of Towanda with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop that was initiated at 7:41 p.m. on March 8 on state Route 220 in Towanda Township.

Police state that a traffic stop was initiated on Bailey’s vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with Bailey, it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and charges have been filed in District Court 42-3-03.

Theft reported in Orwell Township

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred on March 9 on state Route 187 in Orwell Township.

According to police, the victim related that his car keys were stolen from his unlocked Ford F-350 pickup. He stated that the last time he used his truck was on March 5 and checked the truck on March 9 when he realized his keys were no longer in the truck. Two charged with disorderly conduct

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda charge Douglas A. Gillette, 56, of Ulster, and Brian E. Greeno, 45, of Sayre with disorderly conduct following an incident that occurred at 2:50 p.m. on March 10 along state Route 4013 in Sheshequin Township.

Police state that Gillette and Greeno engaged in a verbal altercation on a public roadway. Anyone with information about the incident can contact Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda at (570) 265-2186.
