Harassment

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda cite Bobbie Jo Giggee, 34, of Ridgebury with harassment following an incident that occurred at 10:12 p.m. on May 14 at a residence on Ridgebury Road in Ridgebury Township.

Police state that they responded to a report of a domestic dispute where the victim stated that he and Giggee had gotten into a verbal argument which then became physical when Giggee began to strike the victim in the face multiple times with closed fists and open hands. Red markers were observed on the victim’s face. Charges were filed through District Court 42-3-01.

Theft reported in Rome Boro

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a theft that occurred on May 2 at a residence on Bliss Road in Rome Borough.

According to police, an unknown actor or actors entered the victim’s garage and stole a Ryobi drill press and a Black and Decker orbital sander. The unknown actor or actors then fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda at (570) 265-2186.

Towanda man’s identify stolen

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report access device fraud and identity theft that occurred between April 19 and April 21 of a victim from Towanda.

Police state that the victim reported that an unknown actor or actors gained access to his bank account, connected it to PayPal and made multiple unauthorized transactions via PayPal. Two charged with harassment

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda have charged Daniel Stroud, 37, and Dale Stroud, 37, both of Towanda with harassment following an incident that occurred at 10:30 p.m. on May 12 at a residence on Beebe Hill Road in Monroe Township.

Police state that Daniel and Dale both struck the victim through the window of his truck following a verbal confrontation.

Burglary reported in Asylum Twp.

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a burglary that occurred at a residence on state Route 197 in Asylum Township.

According to police, an unknown actor or actors forcibly entered the residence and removed three large televisions, a video game console and two audio sound bars valued at approximately $2,800. The actors then fled the scene undetected.

Two charged with possession of marijuana

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda have charged Dakoda Ronald Cain, 20, and Matthew James Anderson, 20, both of Rome, with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop that was initiated at 6:01 p.m. on April 15 on Golden Mile Road in Wysox Township.

Police state that a traffic stop was initiated for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, criminal indicators were present.

Damage reported to vehicle

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a criminal mischief that occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 9 on state Route 706 in Wyalusing Township.

According to police, minor damage was caused to a vehicle by an unknown actor or actors. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda at (570) 265-2186.

Car strikes utility pole in Athens Twp.

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a one vehicle accident that occurred at 10:30 a.m. on May 8 on Chapel Road in Athens Township.

Police state an unknown vehicle and operator was traveling south when they lost control of their vehicle and exited the eastern side of the road. The vehicle then struck a utility pole which was situated approximately 100 feet east of the roadway. The operator then fled the scene.

Car flees after striking shed

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a one vehicle accident that occurred at 10:30 a.m. on May 8 on Milan Road in Ulster Township.

According to police, an unknown operator and vehicle was traveling east when, for an unknown reason, the operator lost control of their vehicle and left the eastbound lane of traffic onto the southern side of the road. The vehicle then struck a shed and made multiple attempted to back up onto the roadway. Eventually, the operator was able to back the vehicle onto the roadway and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Theft reported in Windham Twp.

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a theft that occurred between April 30 and May 6 at a residence on Buck Road in Windham Township.

Police state that the victim reported that his weed torch and a 20 pound propane tank were stolen from the residence. Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda at (570) 265-2186.

Car overturns in Pike Twp.

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda report a one vehicle accident that occurred at 4 p.m. on May 2 on East Street in Pike Township.

According to police, a 2001 Honda Civic was traveling east when the operator was attempting to negotiate a curve in the roadway and lost control. The Honda then traveled off the right eastbound berm and then back on into the eastbound lane before traveling into the westbound lane and then continued off the westbound berm and struck an embankment. After striking the embankment, the vehicle overturned onto its roof and came to a final rest. Police state that there was no operator on scene upon their arrival.
