Man charged with DUI

A Conshohocken man has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to answer a charge of driving while under the influence.

According to information filed at Wheaton's office, Gary Shore, 53, has also been charged by state police with operating a vehicle at an unsafe speed, and careless driving.

Police reported investigating a one-vehicle crash on Sept. 7 on township Route 620 in Orwell Township. During the course of the investigation, police located the driver, identified as Shore, and charged him with DUI. Shore was taken to Memorial Hospital in Towanda, where he agreed to submit to a blood test. The test eventually revealed that Shore's blood alcohol content was .235 percent on the day of his arrest.

Shore is scheduled to appear before Judge Wheaton on Nov. 6.

No injuries reported

No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on Route 414 about 4 p.m. Monday in LeRoy Township, Canton Fire Chief Kim Jennings said.

He said a car went off the road, hit a small embankment, and rolled onto its roof.

A female driver, reportedly from Towanda, wasn't injured.

He said the car had severe damage.

Man waives hearing

Steven Anthony Servis, 26, of P.O. Box 84, Canton, has waived his preliminary hearing to Bradford County Court on charges of theft and receiving stolen property for a reported incident Aug. 28 in Troy, according to the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy.

He is accused of taking a Casio Exilim digital camera, a Sony Playstation 2 Game System with controller, a Nintendo DS Portable Game System with one Pokemon Game Card, an X-Box Game System, a single opal ring with two diamonds, and a Cingular cell phone with a total value of $1,200 belonging to Shane Case and Jessica Cummings, no ages given, of Troy, according to court papers.

Harassment reported

State police at Towanda said a citation was filed against Shawn Eugene Frey, 37, of Columbia Crossroads, who is accused in a reported harassment at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at Kerryview Trailer Park in Columbia Township.

Police said he threatened to assault a 23-year-old Gillett woman after she transported her aunt from a hospital back to the aunt's home in the trailer park.

Signs taken

State police at Towanda said someone stole six road signs belonging to Utility Line Service and fled at 8 a.m. Sept. 22 on Ayers Road in Canton Township.

They included "Road Work Ahead," "Be Prepared to Stop," and "Flagman Ahead" signs. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Joseph D. Mitchell at (570) 265-2186 and reference incident no. P05-0668044. Anyone wanting to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PATIPS or 1-800-426-TIPS for a possible reward of up to $2,000.

No injuries reported

State police at Towanda said no one was injured in an accident at 6:55 p.m. Sept. 20 on Grover-Wheelerville Road in Canton Township.

An ATV operated by a 15-year-old juvenile was illegally parked in the lane of travel and a passing car driven by Matthew C. Clark, 25, of Millerton, struck the ATV, police said.

Police said the 15-year-old was charged.
