Bradford County Tourism getting ready to kick off Food Truck Friday

A different food truck could soon start welcoming local lunch-goers at this lot each week as part of a new Bradford County Tourism Promotion Agency initiative, Food Truck Friday.

Food trucks could soon be showing up in the parking lot outside of the Bradford County Tourism Promotion Agency office along the Merrill Parkway.

Bradford County Tourism Executive Directory Robyn Cummings announced Monday that Food Truck Friday is ready to begin next month with four or five county-based vendors taking turns offering lunch for local patrons.

The initiative was among ideas that Cummnigs said she was eyeing earlier this year to increase community engagement.

Each week’s food truck will be in the large parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays except for the Fourth of July weekend, Riverfest weekend and Labor Day weekend.

Cummings noted that although she expects Food Truck Friday to begin in June and continue through August, details are still being finalized and will be posted to the tourism agency’s website and Facebook page once complete.
