Keller makes midday stop at Mill Street Treats

Mill Street Treats in Sylvania welcomed U.S. Rep. Fred Keller (R-Pa.-12) midday Monday after the congressman helped them secure a second Paycheck Protection Program loan after being denied. In the letter seeking Keller’s help, owner Shane Morgan invited him to stop by for a coffee or ice cream if he was ever in the area. Morgan said they were contracted around 10:30 a.m. that Keller would be stopping by. “We sat in our back room and chatted about the state of political affairs,” said Morgan. “We expressed our appreciation for his efforts to help us in securing our much needed PPP. We lost so much because of COVID; all of our summer festivals, the slow down in our shop sales ... we were hurting.” Pictured, from left, are Morgan, Keller, and co-owner John Seeley.
