Bradford County’s EMC receives basic certification

Bradford County Emergency Management Coordinator Sarah Neely was presented her basic certification from Fred Boylstein, director for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency’s Central Area Office, during Thursday’s commissioners meeting. The certification is the culmination of the extensive training she was required to obtain within around a year of her initial appointment to the position, according to Boylstein. “Certainly, it’s been a trial by fire in a way since you came on board,” said Commissioner Daryl Miller, referring to the emergency response required with last summer’s flooding. “Sarah is a great asset to the county, a great asset to the emergency management program. Other county coordinators think very highly of her,” said Boylstein.
