Pop-Up Pantry helps locals while promoting organ donation
Dozens of local families received assistance through the Pop-Up Pantry event organized by the Liz Terwilliger for Congress Committee, which distributed food donations from the Child Hunger Outreach Partners in Sayre last Sunday. Because it was National Organ Donor Day, the committee provided information about organ donation while two families shared their stories of receiving organs and a local liver transplant recipient helped out. Families that were unable to be helped due to the limited number of supplies were put in contact with other sources of help. Those who would like to volunteers and support future pantries can email volunteers@lizterwilligerforcongress.org.
