Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported the following resolutions of criminal cases in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

PLEAS

Tiffany Johnson, 33, Towanda, entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of three counts of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Resisting Arrest, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Johnson will be sentenced on Aug. 1, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Terence Foley of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnson following investigation of incidents that occurred in Towanda Township on Jan. 11, 2019.

Jennifer Weil, 33, Sayre, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft by Deception, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Weil will be sentenced on Aug. 1, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township arrested Weil for the offense on Dec. 1, 2018.

Tommy Turner, 56, Towanda, entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Fleeing and Eluding, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Driving under Suspension (DUI related), a misdemeanor of the third degree. Turner was immediately sentenced. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Turner for the offenses on May 3, 2019.

Samantha Mooney, 25, Towanda, entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Theft by Deception, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Mooney was immediately sentenced. Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department and Officer Thomas Zebrowski of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Mooney for the offenses on Nov. 26, 2018 and April 3, 2019.

Corey Briggs, 34, Gillett, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Briggs will be sentenced on Aug. 1, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Hunter Condusta of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Briggs for the offense on Jan. 1, 2019.

Cole Harrigan, 40, Athens, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Harrigan will be sentenced on Aug. 1, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Harrigan for the offense on Nov. 8, 2018.

Sentenced

Alexander Updegraff, 19, Towanda, was sentenced to Probation Supervision for a term of 12 months, and fines of $250.00, for the offense of Corruption of Minors, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Gregory Pimm of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Updegraff following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Township on May 31, 2018.

Melvin Bostwick Jr., 42, Sayre, was sentenced to Incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for one month to 15 months, plus court costs for the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Bostwick for the offense occurring on Jan. 2, 2019.

Raymond Dotson, 49, Rome, was sentenced to Incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for seven months to 18 months, plus court costs for the offense of Terroristic Threats, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Peter Lakkis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Dotson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Rome Borough on Aug. 9, 2018.

Whitney Page Roberts, 26, New Hampshire, was sentenced to Probation Supervision for a term of 12 months, plus court costs. Roberts will have to register as a sexual offender for 25 years, for the offense of Institutional Sexual Assault, a felony of the third degree. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Roberts following investigation of an incident that occurred in Franklin Township in November 2017.

Daniel Johnson, 21, of Wysox was sentenced to Incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for four days to six months, and fines of $1,000.00, plus court costs. Johnson will also lose his driver’s license for 12 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Robert Borkowski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Terry Township on Dec. 22, 2017.

Cory Lewis, 25, Sayre, was sentenced to a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 18 months to 48 months, fines of $600.00, and restitution of $150.00. Lewis’ total aggregate sentence is 30 months to 72 months, for the offenses of Criminal Trespass, a felony of the third degree and Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Lewis for the offenses occurring on Sept. 14, 2018.

Brent Beidleman, 27, of Sayre was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days to six months, and fines of $150.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Taylor Arnold of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Beidleman for the offense occurring on Oct. 23, 2018.

Jay Haight, 34, of Athens was sentenced to Incarceration of the Bradford County Correctional Facility for four days to six months, and fines of $1,500.00, plus court costs for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. He will lose his driver’s license for 12 months; Haight’s ARD was revoked after he failed to comply with the program. Officer Cody Welch of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Haight for the offense occurring on April 3, 2017.

Tristen Parsons, 21, of Towanda was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for one month to 12 months and, fines of $100.00, plus court costs. Parsons had been sentenced to probation but failed to comply with the conditions. Probation was revoked and the case was set for resentencing, for the offense of Recklessly Endangering Another Person, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Brian Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Parsons for the offense occurring on Oct. 26, 2016

Tommy Turner, 56, of Towanda was sentenced to incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 15 month and, 10 days to five years, in addition to fines of $6,000.00, plus court costs. He will also lose his driver’s license for 48 months, for the offenses of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the second degree, two counts of Driving a Vehicle under Suspension (DUI related), both misdemeanors of the third degree, and Fleeing and Eluding, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Turner for a number of the offenses occurring on May 3, 2019. Corporal Matthew Lopresto of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Turner a second time for the rest of the offenses following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough on May 21, 2018.

Samantha Mooney, 25, of Towanda was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for three months and 15 days to 23 months, fines of $250.00, and restitution of $500.00, plus court costs, for the offenses of Theft by Deception, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department and Officer Thomas Zebrowski of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Mooney for the offenses occurring on Nov. 26, 2018, and April 3, 2017.

Omer Gomez, 24, of East Harford, Connecticut, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 65 days to six months, and fines of $1,750.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Corporal Matthew Lopresto of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Gomez following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough on May 10, 2018.

ARD

Angela Sanderson, 40, Athens, charged with the offense of DUI, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Sanderson will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Sanderson must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact panel and she will lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Chris Warren of the Athens Township Police Department filed the charges on Oct. 12, 2018 for the offense in Athens Township.

Mary Santiago, 58, Troy, charged with the offense of DUI, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Santiago will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Santiago must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact panel and she will lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Trooper Peter Lakkis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Santiago for the offense on Jan. 21, 2019 in Columbia Township.
