Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:

Anthony Shear, 33, Sayre, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a summary offense and Harassment, also a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $200.00, plus court costs. Trooper Luke Geiger of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Shear for the offenses on Jan. 22, 2019 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Litchfield Township.

Heather Shedden, 27, Canton, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Todd Carr to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 30 days, plus court costs. Trooper Blake Bernosky of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Shedden for the offense on Sept. 14, 2018 following investigation of a possession of drug paraphernalia incident that occurred in Franklin Township.

Jacob Hottle, 23, Warren Center, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to a fine of $300.00, plus court costs. Trooper Luke Geiger of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hottle for the offense on Aug. 27, 2018 following investigation of a traffic incident that occurred in Orwell Township.

Courtney Smithy, 32, Lebanon, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Todd Carr to the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $100.00, plus court costs. Trooper Robert Phillips of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Smithy for the offense on Jan. 21, 2019 following investigation of a theft that occurred in Towanda Township.

Joseph Laughlin, 31, Sayre, entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Larry Hurley to the offense of Operation without Ignition Interlock, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to a fine of $300.00, plus court costs. Officer Casey Shiposh of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Laughlin for the offense on Feb. 14, 2019 following investigation of an operation without ignition incident interlock that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Benjamin Kershner, 40, Towanda, entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Larry Hurley to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and Speeding, a summary offense. Trooper Luke Geiger of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kershner for the offenses on Dec. 15, 2018 following investigation of a speeding incident that occurred in Athens Township.

Joseph Bennett, 23, Sayre, entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Larry Hurley to the offense of Criminal Mischief, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and was sentenced to a fine of $200.00 and restitution in the amount of $422.13, plus court costs. Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Bennett for the offense on April 14, 2019 following investigation of a criminal mischief incident that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Jesse Clawges-Griffith, 27, New Albany, entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge, Todd Carr to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $150.00, plus court costs. Trooper Robert Edgerton of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Clawges-Griffith for the offense on April 7, 2019, following investigation of a disorderly conduct that occurred in New Albany Borough.

Justin Bailey, 36, Monroeton, entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Todd Carr to the offense of Criminal Mischief, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $150.00, plus court costs. Trooper Michael Morariu of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bailey for the offense on March 13, 2019 following investigation of a criminal mischief that occurred in Monroe Borough.
