Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Doyle Bonnell, 20, Towanda, was sentenced to Probation Supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $100, plus court costs, for the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Chief Randy Epler of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Bonnell for the offense occurring on August 29, 2018.

Stormie Coyne, 41, Elmira, was sentenced to Incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for six months to 12 months, fines of $250, plus court costs, restitution of $11,243.88, for the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree, her other sentences are consecutive to these sentences. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Coyne for the offense occurring on September 2, 2018.

Catlin Phillips, 26, Athens, was sentenced to Incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days to 12 months, fines of $250, plus court costs, for the offense of Hindering Apprehension, a misdemeanor of the second degree; Phillips had been sentenced to probation but failed to comply with the conditions. Probation was revoked and the case was set for resentencing. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Phillips for the offense occurring on August 30, 2018.

Michelle Bevan, 35, Waverly, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 56 days to 23 months, 29 days, Probation Supervision for a term of 36 months, fines of $500, plus court costs, for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Sergeant Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Bevan for the offense occurring on June 21, 2018.

Jack W. Hunter Jr, 55, Athens, was sentenced to Incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 66 months to 252 months, fines plus court costs, for the offenses of six counts of Felony Possession of Child Pornography under the crimes code section of Sexual Abuse of Children, and one Felony count of Criminal Use of a Communications Facility (computer). Trooper Andrew Petros of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hunter following investigations that occurred in Athens Township in July 2018.

John Schwartzbauer, 34, Athens, was sentenced to Incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for six months to 23 months, 29 days, fines of $100, plus court costs, for the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Schwartzbauer for the offense occurring on October 2, 2018.

Arlan Briggs, 76, Gillett, was sentenced to Incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 6.5 years to 16 years, followed by Probation Supervision for one to four years, plus court costs, for the offenses of Possession with Intent to Deliver, a felony and Possession of Firearm by Person not Allowed to Possess, a felony of the first degree, Briggs sentences are consecutive with the sentences imposed in 2011. Briggs had been paroled on that sentence. Trooper Robert Borkowski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Briggs following investigation of an incident that occurred in South Creek Township in July 2018. Briggs had no criminal record before 2003 but his record included convictions for hindering apprehension and a felony drug offense in 2004, and other drug offenses in 2011. The 2004 hindering charge followed his son’s arrest and conviction for the murders of two Bradford County deputy sheriffs. Briggs received a 42 months to 108 month sentence in 2011. He had been released on parole. There were parole agents supervising Briggs. The sentence imposed on March 11 will be added to the previous sentence for a total of 10 to 25 years with credit for time already served in prison on the 2011 sentence. Briggs had been in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 226 days since his arrest in July 2018.

Fawn Greene, 33, Troy, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for three months to 27 months, plus court costs, for the offenses of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and Criminal Trespass, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Officer Michael Lamanna of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Greene for the offenses and Chief Doug Seeley of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Greene and Trooper Joseph Bednarski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Greene following investigation of incidents that occurred in Wells Township on August 25, 2018.

Jakayo Frye, 23, Towanda, was sentenced to an incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 24 months to 108 months, fines of $1800, plus court costs, for the offenses of two counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children, felonies of the third degree, Unlawful restraint, a felony of the second degree, and two counts of Recklessly Endangering another person. Trooper Christopher Higdon of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Frye following investigation of incidents that occurred in Towanda Borough in July 2018.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons recently plead guilty in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Ryan Jelliff, 29, Corning, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Jelliff will be sentenced on May 13, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Jelliff for the offense on June 5, 2018.

Johnnie Fuller, 41, Sayre, entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol (Drugs), a misdemeanor of the first degree, Driving while DUI Suspended, a summary offense and Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Fuller will be sentenced on a later date, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Sargent James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Fuller for the offense on November 6, 2018.

Dequett Cryan, 50, Troy, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Cryan will be sentenced on May 13, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Ralph Dooley of the Troy Borough Police Department arrested Cryan for the offense on August 23, 2018.

Amanda Anania, 43, Towanda, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Anania will be sentenced on May 2, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Michael Mogish of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Anania following investigation of an incident that occurred in West Burlington Township on June 10, 2018.

Robert Wagner, 58, Monroeton, entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of two counts of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, one a misdemeanor, and the other a misdemeanor of the first degree. Wagner will be sentenced on May 2, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Gregory Pimm and Trooper James Gaizick both of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Wagner following investigation of incidents that occurred in Wysox Township on October 13, 2017, and Monroe Township on October 26, 2017.

Angel Lopez, 19, Elmira, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Lopez will be sentenced on May 2, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Lopez for the offense on November 11, 2018.

Terell T. Strickland, 27, Sayre, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Strickland will be sentenced on May 13, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Casey Shiposh of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Strickland for the offenses on February 3, 2019.

Alexander Updegraff, 19, Towanda, entered a plea of guilty to the offense on Corruption of Minors, a misdemeanor. Updegraff will be sentenced on June 3, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Gregory Pimm of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Updegraff following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Township on May 13, 2018.

Whitney Roberts, 26, Chocura, New Hampshire, entered a plea of guilty to the offense on Institutional Sexual Assault, a felony of the third degree. Roberts will be sentenced on June 3, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Roberts following investigation of an incident that occurred in Franklin Township on November 2018.

Daniel Johnson, 20, Wyalusing, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol (Drugs), a misdemeanor of the second degree. Johnson will be sentenced on June 3, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Robert Borkowski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Terry Township on December 2017.

Tommy Turner, 55, Towanda, entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Driving under Suspension/DUI related, also a misdemeanor of the third degree. Turner will be sentenced on June 3, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Corporal Matthew Lopresto of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Turner following investigation of incidents that occurred in Towanda Borough on May 21, 2018.

Jay Haight, 34, Athens, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Haight will be sentenced on June 3, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Cody Welch of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Haight for the offense on April 3, 2017.

Fawn Greene, 33, Troy, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Retail theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and criminal Trespass, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Greene will be sentenced on a later date, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Michael Lamanna, of the Towanda Borough Police Department and Chief Douglas Seeley of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Greene for the offenses on October 13, 2018 and July 10, 2018. Also, Trooper Joseph Bednarski of the Pennsylvania State Police also arrested Greene following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wells Township on August 25, 2018.

Melvin Bostwick Jr, 42, Sayre, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Bostwick will be sentenced on a later date, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Bostwick for the offense on January 2, 2019.

Raymond Dotson II, 48, Rome, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Terroristic Threats, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Dotson will be sentenced on June 3, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Peter Lakkis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Dotson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Rome Township on August 1, 2018.

Damian Wells, 18, of Towanda, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 48 hours to 12 months, fines of $500, plus court costs, restitution of $555.43. Wells had been sentenced to probation on this case but failed to comply with the conditions. Probation was revoked and the case was set for resentencing, for the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Wells for the offense occurring on September 18, 2017.

Levi Warren, 35, of Towanda, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 14 days to 12 months, followed by Probation Supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $400, plus court costs for the offenses of Criminal Trespass, a misdemeanor of the third degree and Theft, also a misdemeanor of the third degree. Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Warren for the offenses occurring on July 1, 2018.

Craig Zook, 32, Waverly, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days to 12 months, followed by Probation Supervision for a term of 24 months, plus court costs, for the offenses of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Resisting Arrest, also a misdemeanor of the second degree. Sergeant Bruce Hoffman and Officer Casey Shiposh both of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Zook for the offenses occurring on September 20, 2018.

James Haulton, 49, Wellsburg, was sentenced to Incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to six months, fines of $1,500, plus court costs, he will also loses his driver’s license for 12 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol,(1/10), a misdemeanor. Trooper Gregory Pimm of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Haulton following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ridgebury Township on July 5, 2018.

Michelle Maynard, 36, Towanda, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for six months to 23 months, followed by Probation Supervision for a term of 48 months, fines of $1,000, plus court costs. Maynard will register as a sex offender for 25 years, for the offenses of two counts of Institutional Sexual Assault, felonies of the third degree. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Maynard following investigation of incidents that occurred in Towanda Township on September 2018.

Ryan Gray, 40, Rome, was sentenced to Probation Supervision for a term of six months, fines of $300, plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol (1/10), a misdemeanor. Trooper Gregory Pimm of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Gray following investigation of an incident that occurred in Orwell Township on June 21, 2018.

Matthew Middleton, 30, Nichols, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 75 days to 12 months, followed by Probation Supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $200, plus court costs, for the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Sergeant Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Middleton for the offenses occurring on July 26, 2017.

Noah Carpenter, 19, Canton, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to six months, fines of $750, plus court costs, he will also lose his driver’s license for 12 months. Carpenter was placed in the ARD diversionary program but failed to comply with the program. The ARD was revoked and Carpenter plead guilty, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol (1/10), a misdemeanor. Trooper Mohamad Saloukha of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Carpenter following investigation of an incident that occurred in LeRoy Township on December 24, 2017.

Harold Young, 54, of Sayre, was sentenced to Incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 27 months to 72 months, fines of $1,000, plus court costs, for the offense of Person with Intent to Deliver, (Methamphetamines), a felony offense. Officer Nathan Ross of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Young for the offense occurring on January 25, 2016.

Jonathan Robbins, 24, Milan, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Robbins will be sentenced on June 20, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Hunter Condusta of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Robbins for the offense on December 4, 2018.

James Smith, 54, Towanda, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Smith will be sentenced on June 20, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Trooper Blade Bernosky of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Smith following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township on June 6, 2018.

Floyd Roberts, 62, Wysox, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Roberts will be sentenced on June 20, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper John Kasheta of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Roberts following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township on July 21, 2018.

Teresa Hongach, 51, Towanda, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Hongach will be sentenced on June 20, 2019, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Casey Shiposh of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Hongach for the offense on December 4, 2018.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons were recently accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Skylar King, 24, Sayre, charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation King will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, King must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Trooper Michael Morariu of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested King for an offense on September 2, 2018 in Smithfield Township.

Brianna Sibley, 24, Monroeton, charged with the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Sibley will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Trooper Michael Morariu of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Sibley for an offense on October 22, 2018 in Wysox Township.

Robert Grandall II, 22, Erin, charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Grandall will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Grandall must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Casey Shiposh of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Grandall for an offense on December 27, 2018, for the offense in Sayre Borough.

Adrian Olvera, 26, Towanda, charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Olvera will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Olvera must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Trooper Luke Geiger of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Olvera for an offense on October 13, 2018 in Monroeton Borough.
