James Taylor, 30, of Monroeton is facing DUI related charges following an incident in Franklin Township on April 18.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to Mountain Road for the report of an erratic driver. Taylor is accused of driving with his high beams on as he went into the opposite lane to get past a commercial vehicle as witnessed by a trooper. Taylor was asked to perform a standard field sobriety test and was taken for a blood draw which revealed a .165% blood alcohol content.
Taylor is facing charges of misdemeanor DUI: general impairment of driving safely — first offense, misdemeanor DUI: highest rate of alcohol — first offense, summary violation not use low beam and summary violation operating vehicle without valid inspection.
Taylor has a formal arraignment on July 22 with Judge Maureen Beirne.
