Sayre criminal trespass

Sheena Barto, 35, of Sayre is facing criminal trespass related charges following an incident in Sayre on June 24.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Barto is accused of trespassing on a property she was mandated not to go to. While at the property, Barto is accused of swearing at Sayre Borough police officers and resisting arrest. According to Sayre Borough police, an officer’s Oakley square wire sunglasses were broken by Barto and were valued at $203.

Barto is facing charges of misdemeanor defendant trespass actual communication to in the third degree, misdemeanor disorderly conduct hazardous/physical offense in the third degree, misdemeanor resist arrest/other law enforcement in the second degree and summary violation criminal mischief/damage property intent, reckless or negligent.

Barto is in the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing on July 2 with Magisterial District Judge Larry Hurley.

Sayre disorderly conduct

Gregory Wood, 25, of Towanda is facing charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct hazardous/physical offense in the third degree and misdemeanor obstruct admin. law/other government function in the second degree following an incident on North Lehigh Avenue in Sayre on June 22.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Sayre Borough police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that Wood was the passenger of. While the driver of the vehicle was performing a standard field sobriety test, Wood is accused of remaining outside of the vehicle despite being instructed to stay inside. Wood is further accused of yelling obscenities and instructing the driver to not perform the test because he knew the law. Wood was detained and he continued to be disorderly at the Sayre Borough police office, according to the affidavit.

Wood is in the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing on July 2 with Magisterial District Judge Larry Hurley.

Athens DUI

Kimberly McCurry, 37, of Sayre is facing DUI related charges following an incident in Athens on April 10.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the Pennsylvania State Police witnessed McCurry driving with an expired registration and conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Front Street and Glen Valley Road in Athens. A standard field sobriety test was performed and McCurry displayed signs of impairment. McCurry was taken for a blood draw which revealed the presence of Delta–9 Carboxy.

McCurry is facing charges of misdemeanor DUI: controlled substance — schedule one — first offense, misdemeanor DUI: controlled substance — metabolite — first offense, summary violation driving unregistered vehicle, summary violation operating vehicle without required financial responsibility and summary violation careless driving.

McCurry has a preliminary hearing on Aug. 2 with Magisterial District Judge Larry Hurley.

Sayre retail theft

Three individuals are facing retail theft related charges following an incident at Walmart in Sayre on June 22.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, an Athens Township police officer was at Walmart for an unrelated incident when an asset protection associate told the officer about an individual taking numerous items from the store and throwing it into a truck that the asset protection associate pointed out. The officer found 49-year-old Kelly Dunford of Newark Valley in the driver’s seat while 46-year-old Todd Sheer of Norwich and 47-year-old Todd Everett of Richmond were passengers. Drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle along with stolen items from the store totaling $615.61. The items were two T-shirts, one pack of large white tank tops, two pairs of men’s shorts, three fishing reels, one headlamp, one Roomba vacuum, one power tool and a corded work light.

Dunford is facing charges of misdemeanor receiving stolen property and summary violation driving without a license.

Dunford is in the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing on July 2 with Magisterial District Judge Larry Hurley.

Everett is facing a charge of misdemeanor receiving stolen property.

Sheer is facing charges of misdemeanor retail theft — take merchandise and misdemeanor receiving stolen property.

Sheer is in the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing on July 2 with Magisterial District Judge Larry Hurley.

Athens drug paraphernalia

Michelle Creller, 31, of Tioga Center and Michael Geiss, 40, who is listed as homeless, are facing charges of misdemeanor intentional possession of controlled substance by per not regulation and misdemeanor use/possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident in Athens on June 22.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Athens Borough police were dispatched to a gas station on South Main Street for the report of people sleeping inside a green Ford Mustang. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Geiss in the passenger seat and Creller in the back seat. Creller was found in possession of a needle and drug paraphernalia was found under Geiss’ seat.

Creller and Geiss are in the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail and have preliminary hearings on July 2 with Magisterial District Judge Larry Hurley.
