Johnnie Boyce Johnson, 48, of 258 Brookside Drive, Monroeton, passed away tragically Friday, June 14, 2019.
He was born in Sayre, on Feb. 25, 1971, the son of Johnnie E. “Jack” Johnson and Sylvia Northrup Johnson. Johnnie attended Towanda High School and was formerly employed by Herman Rynveld Sons in New Albany and Lehto Industries in Wysox.
Johnnie was presently employed as a burner and air conditioning technician for the Ed’s Heating Company of Wyalusing for over 20 years. Johnnie enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, NASCAR, Formula 1 Racing, Indy Car Racing and was a fan of Dale Earnhardt.
Surviving are his parents, Johnnie E. and Sylvia Johnson of Powell; brother, Edward F. Johnson and wife, Michele of Baltimore, Maryland; nieces, Brittany, Karleigh and Michaela; nephews, Brandon, Josh, Nicholas and Ryan; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Johnnie was predeceased by his brother, Michael Ray Johnson on Aug. 31, 2006.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral and committal service to follow at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home 217 York Ave. Towanda. Officiating the service will be Rev. Thomas A. Geiger, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, Towanda. Interment will be in the Windham Summit Cemetery.
