Michael “Todd” Rogers, 56 of Clearwater, Florida (formerly Sayre) passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on May 22, 2019.

He is survived by partner, Theresa (Welch) Podmenik, Clearwater, Florida; daughter, Meredith Jane (Samuel) Farnham, Interlaken, New York; son, Michael John Rogers, Clearwater, Florida; sister, Marsha D. (Michael) Sherwood, Newark Valley, New York; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara Jane Rogers, father John S. (Bud) Rogers, brothers, John (Jack) Rogers, Mark D. Rogers and sister Patricia Lee Leonard.

He was born in Elyria, Ohio where they say being a Browns fan is born in you, raised in Nichols, New York and a 1981 graduate of Tioga Central School where he played baseball No. 21 and was introduced to photography which set him on the path to a lifelong career in Sports, NASCAR and nature photography. In his words:

“Always seeking the elusive perfect image.

It is through my photography that I share the natural and cultural elements of the world in which we live – in such a way that individuals feel the freedom to express and interpret each piece as it relates to their own experiences, dreams and visions.

Each moment in time, depicted by my diverse collections of work, captures the vibrant beauty of nature or the sometimes dark reality of a world unknown to many.”

Todd wishes to spend eternity among the seas. His ashes will be spread at a later date in the Florida Gulf among the beautiful sunrises and sunsets he often photographed and enjoyed.
