Stephen Eliot Joyce, 54, of Towanda, passed away early Thursday morning, May 30, 2019 at his home following declining health. Stephen was born in Upper Darby, Delaware County, on May 22, 1965 to Thomas Kane Joyce Jr. and Leah Meredith Joyce. He was a 1983 graduate of Upper Darby High School. Stephen was employed as a paramedic and was associated with several volunteer services in the Bucks County area for a total of 26 years. Stephen was subsequently employed as a driver for HWR Trucking of Tioga, for several years until health issues no longer permitted him to continue. Stephen enjoyed spending time with his family, truck driving, working and jewelry making.

Surviving are his wife, Florence M. “Flo” Joyce, children, Laura Wolfram of Bristol, Donald Cenkner II and wife, Samantha of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Nicholas Cenkner and wife, Norma of Towanda; grandchildren, Jonnathon Cenkner, Donald Cenkner III and Mia Cenkner; sisters, Meredith Saunderlin and husband, George of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Dee Schuller and husband, Erich of New Castle, Delaware; brothers, Thomas “TK” Joyce and wife, Christine of Severna Park, Maryland, Terence Joyce and wife, Maryann of Drexel Hill; sister-in-law, Lillian Briar and husband, Skip of Ulster; brother-in-law, Carl Hoilman and wife, Donna of Virginia Beach, Virginia; brother-in-law, Ronald Ryan of Tyrone, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Stephen was predeceased by a son, Jonnathon Cenkner and sister-in-law, Linda Ryan.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening June 4, 2019 at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home 217 York Ave. Towanda. Memories and condolences may be expressed by visiting www.bowenfuneralhomes.com.
