TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. -- A big seventh inning led Tioga to a 4-3 comeback win over Trumansburg in the IAC small school title game.
The Tigers trailed 3-0, but fought their way back with a run in the fifth and three in the seventh to capture the IAC crown.
In the seventh Derrick Barto led off with a single. After a walk to Justin Rockwell, Thomas Cook and Brady Worthing had back-to-back singles. Pierce Hendershot walked and after an out the Tigers got a game-winning sacrifice fly by Mitchell Taylor. Barto, Rockwell and Cook scored in the seveth.
Hendershot had a hit and Connor Hutchinson had two hits, with a double, scoring the Tigers’ fifth-inning run.
Barto had a hit and scored a run and Cook had two hits and scored a run, while Worthing added a hit.
Taylor started on the mound.
