Tioga fell to Cardinal O’Hara 32-14 in football action Saturday.
Cardinal O’Hara’s Brandon Broadnax’s final carry for 45 yards saw the Hawks scoring the final touchdown to close out their victory against Tioga.
The Hawk’s Jermaine Haynes Jr. had the first touchdown with a 59-yard pass from CJ Masters a few minutes into the first quarter.
Tioga responded with one of their own, Owen Wank’s one-yard run with only five seconds on the clock put the Tigers on the score board with the game at 7-6 in Tioga’s favor after the successful extra point at the end of the first quarter.
Cardinal O’Hara’s Haynes scored next on a 26-yard pass from Masters, putting the score at 14-7 after a two point conversion from a Lewis’ run.
In the third quarter Broadnax ran for 24 and the touchdown for the Hawks putting the score 20-7 after the failed extra point.
The Hawk’s Lewis started the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 13-yard run putting the Hawks at 26-7 with 10:02 left in the quarter. Tioga answered with a four-yard run from Wanck putting them at 26-14 after the successful extra point at 5:55 left in the quarter.
Broadnax’s final 45-yard carry into the endzone saw the Hawks closing out the win 32-14 with 5:40 left in the fourth quarter.
The Hawk’s Broadnax lead offensively with 12 carries and 134 yards. Tioga’s Brady Worthing was 7-13 with 124 passing yards as quarterback for the team.
Tioga will be playing Moravia Friday, September 21 at home.
