WAVERLY, N.Y. — Waverly took fourth at their Invitational Saturday while Notre Dame was seventh.
The Wolverines had 220 points with the Crusaders amassing 175. Chenango Valley won with 387 points.
Notre Dame’s Catherine Craig (2:10.93) won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke (1:06.43) as the only local champion.
She set a pool and meet record in the backstroke along with making states. Her 200 IM is a meet record.
Waverly’s Starr Harford (5:48.66) took second in the 500 free.
In the 200 medley relay Notre Dame’s team of Allie O’Brien, Craig, Caroline Rogers and Alex Welliver took third in 1:58.47 while Waverly was sixth in 2:04.60 with a team of Lourden Benjamin, Abigail Durgin, Kennedy Wheeler and Maggie Whitley.
Rogers (2:14.33) was third in the 200 free while Wheeler (26.64) took fourth in the 50 free. Wheeler (1:04.28) was fourth in the 100 fly as well.
The Wolverine 200 free relay of Wheeler, Whitley, Harford and Benjamin (1:51.99) was sixth.
Notre Dame went 2-3 in the 100 backstroke with Rogers (1:07.93) and O’Brien (1:08.85).
Notre Dame’s foursome of Welliver, Erica Parks, O’Brien and Gracie Ringer (4:02.89) was fourth in the 400 free relay while Waverly’s team of Harford, Lillian Keefer, Willow Sharpsteen and Durgin (4:15.37) came in sixth.
