The walk-off wins continued for Wyalusing Legion on Tuesday.
This time they defeated Towanda 11-10.
Towanda used a 4-run first inning to get a lead and, despite Wyalusing chipping away, they kept a 10-8 lead going into the bottom of the seventh.
They got the first two batters out but Shane Fuhrey kept Wyalusing alive with a hit. Nick Kelly also singled to put two runners on.
They did a double steal to get on second and third, after which Towanda intentionally walked Zach Bruyn.
That’s when Jake Carr played the hero, hitting a base clearing double into the center-right field gap for the win.
Kevin Vandermark led Wyalusing with three hits and one RBI while Fuhrey had two hits, four runs scored and an RBI.
Spencer Krewson and Carr both had doubles as Carr scored and finished the day with 4-RBI. Krewson knocked in a run in as well.
Bruyn had a hit with three runs while Kelly scored two runs to go with his hit. Caden Engich scored a run and had a hit as well.
Carr, Mason McGroarty, Zach Shaffer and Fuhrey all saw time on the mound with Fuhrey getting the win. They combined for seven strikeouts and seven walks.
For Towanda Tanner Kunkle had three hits and two runs while Brett Crispell had a double with three runs scored.
Ian Wilber had a double, two runs and an RBI, Skylar Allen had two hits, including a double, with a run scored and an RBI and Alex Perez had a hit with an RBI.
Octavius Chacona knocked in three runs while Mason Johnson and Ethan Sparrow both scored.
Perez started and went 2 1/3-innings while Will Pitcher finished out, taking the loss. They combined for six strikeouts and 11 walks.
Wyalusing will host Mansfield on Friday for a make-up game, first pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
